What are the key differences between the Performance & Subscription plans?

The Performance Plan is a pay-on-success based service. So you only pay for confirmed rental bookings that go ahead - and only after the stay has completed. Additionally, the Performance Plan allows you to increase your exposure by nominating higher than base-level success fees. When you nominate a higher success fee this contributes to your "score" which dictates your "ranking" on Bookabach - where your property appears on the search results pages*.

The alternative Subscription Plan is an annual subscription-based service where you pay a fixed fee for listing on the website.

There are are some differences in the listing itself, e.g. Performance Plan listings include AA Rewards incentives for rental guests. Also, there are some difference in how properties are promoted through "affiliate websites". Bookabach partners with high-traffic websites that help extend our reach and give us an even bigger audience. We refer to these sites as our "affiliates" and share Performance success fees with them. For this reason, when we show a listing on an affiliate website, or receive a referral from one of these sites, we list Performance listings first - ahead of Subscription listings. At all other times listings on Bookabach are ordered by ranking alone.

* Note that other factors effect your ranking including quantity/quality of member feedback.


Can I change from one plan to another after I've registered?

Yes, you can move from one plan to another at any time. If you are moving from the Subscription Plan to the Performance Plan, the remaining value of your subscription will be credited to your Bookabach account. You will need to pay any additional amount required to bring your account to the minimum start-up credit. Note that you will not be charged success fees on bookings you've received prior to moving to the Performance Plan.

If you choose to move from the Performance Plan to the Subscription Plan you will need to purchase a new 1-year subscription and pay any additional amount required for this. Note that you are obligated to pay the success fees associated with any Performance Plan bookings you've received up until your move to the Subscription Plan.

How often can I change my Performance Plan success fee?

You can change your nominated success fee level at any time. Bookabach stores your success fee setting each time a booking request (or question) is received, so the changes you make only effect booking requests received from that point forward - i.e. booking received before the change will be billed at previously nominated success fee levels.

Bookabach lets you preview the effect of any change to your success fee on your score and ranking (where you appear on the list a bach pages of Bookabach) before you commit to any change.


When and how do I pay Performance Plan success fees?

Success Fees will be charged to your Bookabach account the day after the final nights stay. Bookabach does this using booking information from your Bookabach Calendar. For this reason, Performance Plan users are required to keep their calendars up to date and confirm bookings that go ahead.

Accounts in debit need to be settled within 7-days. You can elect to have success fees automatically debited from your credit card, or you can manually top-up your Bookabach account using your credit card, internet banking or by sending us a cheque.


What if I receive a long-term rental while I'm on the Performance Plan?

Bookabach charges a maximum of 14-nights success fee on any one booking. On these longer-term rentals the success fee is billed after the 14th night stay.


What happens if I have a cancellation?

Bookabach does not charge success fees on stays that do not go ahead. Should you have a cancellation before a stay commences just cancel the booking on your Bookabach calendar.

If you forget to cancel a booking you can cancel it later and we will reverse the success fee charge on your account. We do charge a $10 administration fee for any fee reversal.


Will I be charged for bookings I add to the system?

No, Bookabach only charges Performance Plan success fees on bookings that we generate (via the Bookabach website or via our affiliate websites). There is no charge to manually add your own bookings (rental or family & friend) or for bookings that are generated from your website when you use our widgets (unless the user comes to your website from a click through from your Bookabach listing). Our goal is to have you keep your calendar up to date - and for you to use our widgets on your website. Charging would discourage this.


I have multiple properties to list. Am I eligible for a discount?

Yes, Bookabach provides a multi-listing discount based on the number of active listings you have on the website. The more active listings you have the greater your discount level. The amount you nominate as a success fee under the Performance Plan is the "gross" of any discounts, i.e. your discount will be applied to the total success fee calculated for each completed stay.
